Palak Paneer(spinach and cottage cheese)

Ingredients

  • Palak(spinach)- one bunch (boiled and pureed)
  • Onion-1 cup finely chopped
  • Tomato- 3 no’s finely chopped or pureed
  • Paneer/cottage cheese -1 cup(Cut into small cubes )
  • Garam masala-1/4Th tsp
  • Chili powder-to taste
  • Coriander powder-1/2 tsp
  • Jeera powder-1/4Th tsp
  • Heeng
  • Salt-to taste
  • Oil-3 tsp

Procedure

  1. Take a Pan and Add one tsp of oil
  2. When the oil is hot add the paneer cubes
  3. Fry the paneer pieces on 'medium' heat till they turn slightly brown
  4. Keep paneer aside
  5. Add 2 tsp of oil in the pan
  6. Add jeera, and heeng
  7. Add the onion and cook them till golden brown
  8. Then add the chili, coriander,jeera,garam masala powder
  9. After a minute add the tomatoes
  10. cook till the oil shows up
  11. Add the palak puree
  12. Cook for 5-10 minutes then add the fried paneer cubes

Garnish it with lots of fresh green chili and coriander leafs serve hot with rice or roti
