Methi Paratha(Fenugreek leafs paratha)


Ingredients


  • 1 bunch methi leafs ,pluck the leafs and wash (almost 2 cups)
  • Whole wheat- 3 cups
  • green chillies
  • jeera powder-1 teaspoon
  • Ajwin-1/2 tsp(not a must)
  • salt-to taste
  • turmeric-tsp
  • asafotida-a pinch
  • oil- 1tsp

Procedure



  1. Mix all ingredients well
  2. Add water, a little at a time to this mixture, and knead to form a medium-soft, smooth dough. Keep aside for 30 minutes to one hour.
  3. Divide the dough into golf ball-sized portions and roll between your hands till they are smooth and without cracks.
  4. spread it flat with the rolling pin
  5. spread 1/2 tsp oil on a side and fold it into a half circle
  6. apply oil on a side and fold it again to form a triangle
  7. spread it flat not too thin.
  8. Heat a griddle on medium flame.
  9. place the dough on the griddle
  10. when the side facing the griddle cooks (little brown dots start to appear) flip it over
  11. after the other side is also cooked
  12. spread 1 tsp of oil evenly on and around the paratha.
  13. cook it for 30 seconds

serve it hot with masala curd
