
Ingredients
- 1 bunch methi leafs ,pluck the leafs and wash (almost 2 cups)
- Whole wheat- 3 cups
- green chillies
- jeera powder-1 teaspoon
- Ajwin-1/2 tsp(not a must)
- salt-to taste
- turmeric-tsp
- asafotida-a pinch
- oil- 1tsp
Procedure
- Mix all ingredients well
- Add water, a little at a time to this mixture, and knead to form a medium-soft, smooth dough. Keep aside for 30 minutes to one hour.
- Divide the dough into golf ball-sized portions and roll between your hands till they are smooth and without cracks.
- spread it flat with the rolling pin
- spread 1/2 tsp oil on a side and fold it into a half circle
- apply oil on a side and fold it again to form a triangle
- spread it flat not too thin.
- Heat a griddle on medium flame.
- place the dough on the griddle
- when the side facing the griddle cooks (little brown dots start to appear) flip it over
- after the other side is also cooked
- spread 1 tsp of oil evenly on and around the paratha.
- cook it for 30 seconds
serve it hot with masala curd
